University of Whitewater Mentoring

Many people know in the past I have mentored Madison Area Technical College women students in the information technology field.

Today I was asked, by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, if I would be interested in mentoring their female students. My response, when asked to be a part of this important endeavor, was a resounding “Yes”.
I’ve been fortunate, in my career, to be mentored by many female and male counterparts. Those of us lucky enough to have been mentored throughout our careers value the knowledge learned and the importance of giving back to others.
I view this as another important role that all of us should take part in. I truly believe we are all made better by sharing knowledge, lessons learned and ideas with one another.
Please join me in mentoring a student or co-worker this year. I think you’ll be pleased the knowledge flows both ways.
