UW WhiteWater Management Computer Systems Business Consortium and Advisory Board
QWANtify has been involved with UW-Whitewater’s Management Computer Systems Business Consortium and Advisory Board since April 15, 2006. Consortium members include Quad Graphics, Harley-Davidson, Aurora Health Care, American Family Insurance, nVisia, and TeamSoft.
Consortium objectives include:
- Improving the skills and competencies of graduates and faculty relative to upcoming business needs
- Aligning curriculum to business needs by introducing new technologies in a timely manner
- Assisting member companies with their recruiting activities
- Supporting external academic resources for joint exploration of selected technology issues and project participation
- Providing a neutral focal point for cross-industry exchange of technical knowledge, skills research and project results
Advisory Board Members include several Madison and Milwaukee area companies, including: American Family, Quad Graphics, Madison Gas & Electric, Harley-Davidson, State of Wisconson, Northwestern Mutual, Great Lakes Higher Education, West Bend Mutual, Wisconson Alumni Association, GE Medical, WPS, Fujitsu, and Berbee.
Advisory Board objectives include:
- Oversee and maintain the strength and quality of the MCS curriculum, keeping it up to date, viable and meeting the expressed needs of industry
- Provide proper goals and directions for the MCS program
